A Hero's Final Journey, the Journey Home

Senior Police Officer Jaime Padron was laid to rest this morning in San Angelo, his hometown. His final journey is complete, he is home.

I have usually been on the side of the police with regard to these situations, especially this one.

What I knew about this lovely man was one of genuine warmth and a smile that light up the room and made you smile, he didn’t even mind when I teased him about junk food.  Rest well my friend.

Fart Head of the Week!

To take a little liberty from my beloved Andy Cohen @BravoAndy, who hosts the Bravo show Watch What Happens Live, JackHole of the week, mine is FartHead of the week. And the first recipient of that distinction is drum-roll please, Debbie Russell

First, let us get one thing straight I am a MAJOR democrat, I am an advocate of the bullied and against bullies in whatever pleasant guise, they dwell and I am an equal opportunity hater.

Debbie Russell is in her own words calls herself an Activist Organizer Hellraiser. What I call her is a bully and a white washed sepulcher!
On Saturday the day after the murder of a cherished cop, Jaime Padron a man, who I myself had many conversations with and teased every time I saw him at the bodega. This was a lovely, humble man whom I DID NOT DETECT A HINT OF AN EGO, he had a delightful bright smile and a warmth that emanated from him.

The comments she made on her Facebook page were unconscionable, I am so glad I did not see them the, she wrote on her Facebook page, “Curiosity killed the cat; but ego killed the cop…and may victims of in recent years.” are you kidding, it's people like you who believe they must commit word vomit to call attention to how outrageous you are. Ego did not kill the cop, a drunken moron with a gun did.

Normal people would wait a bit to let some facts regarding a situation to come to light, not you, you had the unmitigated entitled effrontery to write those more than thoughtless words, it was an affront to every person on the planet who ever needed help!

In a city of, according to the 2010 Census Data was, 790,390 we have 2300 policemen and policewomen to protect and serve us, do the math, I did 1 cop for every 344 persons!

This is directed totally at you:

They do the best they can in situations that would have you crying like the baby that you undoubtedly are Debbie Russell! Yep, you whiny entitled little girl who should be ashamed of herself for entering those foul words into your phone.

I am an equal opportunity hater, I do not have a preference one way or another, I call it like I see it and your words pissed me off! Grow up and I hope you never need a cop, oh, wait, except here’s the rub, they would even come for you in you needed them you whiny brat!

You then, when it got a little too hot apologized for your comment however, it was no different than Rush Limbaugh's insinsere apology for calling women whores, guess what, just as lame! Apology here! How do you think would you explain the comment to the two little girls who lost their father on Good Friday.

Senior Police Officer Jaime Padron

Today Senior Police Officer Jaime Padron will be symbolically laid to rest, he, this lovely sweet man was murdered in the dark of night on Friday April 6th, while most of us were safe and asleep in our own beds, the harrowing scene at the Walmart in north Austin was one of inconceivable sadness for the Austin Police Department (APD) and all of Austin.

I myself awoke early about 4:00 am to my husband watching something on the DVR I changed the channel to MYFOX Austin, to the news of an overnight shooting death of one of our boys in blue.

I had a sinking, horrid feeling that I knew the police officer who had been murdered. On watching the noon news I had a wretched validation, I did know him.

When my husband and I lived in Del Valle for many years, there was a sweet cop that I used to tease about buying soda and junk food at the bodega, it was Jaime, he was always quick with a humble little smile that light up a dark room.

As I write this in this small moment in time, there is a massive procession from the Cook-Walden Funeral Home on North Lamar to the Shoreline Church on Burnet Road. Where at this moment, there awaits Officer Padron a saber cross of twin fire trucks with their ladders erect and crossed to greet him and as a Sigil of the solemn duty of acknowledgment of our fallen warrior.

These men and women protect us, our property with their lives. The statistics are appalling according to the International Association of Chiefs of Police, last year's murders were the first time more officers died at the hands of criminals. What this means is our police are being targeted for execution by miscreants!

A prayer to St. Michael patron saint of policemen

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

Sleep well my friend may the gods of the ancestors guide you through the skies. For a life well lived and a love that is for all time.

Today one APD officer was allowed to go home and sadly one was not

In the span of 7 hours one of our policemen was allowed to go home to his family one was not. Who decides who gets to go home to his or her family? I don’t know!

Me, I don’t give a flying fart what race, color or creed you are. There is something unforgivably wrong when you choose who should live and who should die, I tend to err at first with the authorities until an investigation has run its course. If they are in the wrong I'll say so.

I believe that everyone should be able to go home, the cop, the suspect and the victim. I know that sometimes that just can't or doesn't happen, and its sorrowful for the families of everyone involved, including the officer who has to take the life of a suspect.

Some believe it should be the dink that tries to take the weapon of a police officer, ring his neck with his own radio cord and tries to shoot and kill the officer with his own gun. He the one, who tries to take an officer’s gun, should be allowed to live, but the police officer should not be able to go home to his family simply because he or she is a cop, others like me think it should be both, the suspect and the police officer.

A woman, an older white lady, just as am I, was interviewed after the first incident had the unmitigated gall to say “they’re killin people, here’s another example, it’s happening frequently, and until the city council or our citizens decide to do something about it I think it’s going to be a problem” really, you don’t see a problem with the guy trying to take the officer’s gun to shoot the officer with his own gun, only that the cop had to shoot the guy who ran, then tried to take that officers life, that’s the problem. Why did the guy run? Why did the guy try to take the cop's gun? That’s not the issue? No, the issue for this woman was that a cop shot a man. Oy gevalt, people really have to knock it off and start seeing all sides of an issues and hold your judgments till more of the facts surface.

A scant 7 hours after the first officer involved shooting in the ATX a routine disturbance call regarding a drunken idiot at a big chain store, what no one knew or could have known was he had a semiautomatic gun with him at the time he took the life of one of our policemen by shooting him in the neck at point blank range.

This is a very touchy subject for me. In 2009 my favorite nephew was involved in an incident in his job as a commissioned security guard. He had to shoot and kill some drunk idiot who was trying to use his 6000 lb vehicle to run he and the man who had been in this idiots SUV and had been run over by the idiot while my nephew was trying to give the guy on the ground first aid. I am most defiantly on the side of my nephew, my niece and their 3 babies.

According to witness accounts, my nephew was defending his own life and the lives of at least five people who witnessed the entire thing.

With a No Bill decision the Travis County Grand Jury concluded he acted appropriately so they declined to  prosecute.

The grand jury declared that my nephew acted swiftly and bravely when faced with a difficult situation and was able to rely on his training and instincts to save the lives of four strangers.

He at the time had two babies and a wife, my niece at home, no one ever said anything about that! Really, I don’t freakin think so, he did the right thing.

And as it turns out I used to tease the officer who was murdered this morning, when he worked at ABIA he would be at the gas station across the street from the airport, he was always buying junk food and soda, he was always sweet to me. And he had a smile that light up a dark room. Rest well.

Bully!

Parents of children, no matter how old they are, they must see this movie with you.

I understand with  the R rating  given to this movie you may think you shouldn't but I implore you, go see it then discuss it so we can teach our children that this behavior  can NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!

How any parent could or would justifiy this is beyond me.

September 22, 2010 Tyler Clementi said to the world "Jumping off the G-W Bridge. Sorry"

This child Tyler Clementi felt so despondent that he would take his own life. On September 22, 2010, Clementi took a train to New York and posted a mobile status update on his Facebook page that read, "Jumping off the gw bridge sorry”.

Before killing himself Tyler's roommate set up a video recorder and taped an intimate moment between Tyler and another man.

Tyler was an 18-year-old boy in his first year of college at Rutgers, who was trying to figure out who he was and where he fit into the world, as all 18-year-old children do.

He flung himself off the George Washington Bridge, killing himself after his roommate Dharun Ravi videotaped and then spread an intimate moment between Tyler and another man all over social media sites.

In hindsight, I would imagine that this kid Ravi never thought this little bit of cyber bulling would escalate into what it became.

Including this child throwing himself off a bridge.

This morning Dharun Ravi was convicted of the serious charges the prosecution leveled against him including:

   invasion of privacy
   bias intimidation
   witness tampering

Rush Limbaugh on Joseph Kony, huh?

He, Rush Limbaugh, now defends Joseph Kony. Are you freaking kidding me! What is with this guy, is he so delusional that he attacks women, minorities, religions, just people but now this! We now also know Rush Limbaugh also advocates the systematic extermination, slavery, and rape of children! There is something so dissolute with this man, he now encourages the killing of Muslims not the rape and murder of men, women and children.

More Excrement in Broadcasting! From the October 14, 2011 broadcast!

This is a world of ideologies misinterpretations proliferate, we all need to realize that all ideologies have worth, it is only the misinterpretation of these principles that leads to these vast iniquities..

He only encourages Christian warriors with evil hearts only because they are Christian, that is no different from anyone who uses religion to justify their evil. We, the entire human race needs to understand that it is not important what religion we are it is what in our hearts that matters, if this prejudice between beliefs persists this is what is born, men with hearts that are damaged, ones you don’t really ever know if they are serious or not because how could you justify the murder of children?

He, Rush Limbaugh remarks about the Coptic’s in Egypt, which is one of the oldest branches of Christianity beginning in the second century, they have always been discriminated against. And no that is not right either, but neither is the systematic destruction of the world based on religion or the defense of a man who rapes and kills not for his ideas but for, the god forbid, amusement of it because that is the way I see it, when you kidnap children and make them use a gun for YOUR OWN BELIEFS whether for good or evil YOU are the one who is wrong and YOU should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of all laws that apply!

This is what I  love to see this because this is our history http://www.coptic-cairo.com/museum/museum.html not the discrimination of a people simply because you believe their religion is wrong, cases in point the Crusades and the Spanish inquisitions.

There will always be disagreement in belief, but what we, the human race need to do is say all of the victimized have value.

This must and cannot be sanctioned, the rhetoric needs to stop. We must agree to disagree and stop hurting each other based only on our religious beliefs all religions have good in them we must find and take comfort in that and stop killing each other because of it.

Way of the Dragon

Last night I Am Bruce Lee premiered on SPIKE, yes, I am a woman who likes the shows on what is usually known for being a rather masculine network. My favorite show on this particular network is Deadliest Warrior. Being a somewhat of a history buff, I have enjoyed this show.

In the year of the he, the little dragon was born, Lee Jun-fan  November 27 1940, but we knew him a Bruce Lee.

His philosophies were  a dichotomy, the light and the dark and how they must live in harmony within us all, never letting one or the other side rise to prominence. He was a steadfast believer that there must be no racism, sexism, or classism in this world after growing up in Japanese occupied Hong Kong and being bullied as a child by the other occupiers of Hong Kong’s children. He was an exceptional bully’s bully!

Growing up as the only girl in my neighborhood if I wanted to play with the other kids, the boys, I had to play what they wanted to play, the Green Hornet and Batman were on at the time they would always want to be Britt Reid or Batman or Robin. I Only wanted to be Kato, I started dancing when I was 3 and would mimic the moves that Bruce would use as Kato, as best a 5 year old could. I was as far away from looking like Bruce Lee as just about anyone could except we shared the same haircut, I had a shock of bright red hair with a cowlick with a mind of it’s own.

The only Bruce Lee movie my dad ever took me to was Enter the Dragon, and only because he was so important to me. I cried the for hours, knowing that we would never see another Bruce Lee movie because he passed away six days before the release of the movie.

His philosophies were ahead of their time. A faultless mixture of eastern and western theories, the esoteric, and how it all they all related to the fight. Whether the fight was with words, fists or one’s self and whether or when one needed to use one or the other. On my birthday in 1975, the present I received from my Dad was a The Tao of Jeet Kune Do, a first release, it was released 4 days before my birthday, and he had ordered it 6 months previously. Lost now to the inevitable sock in the dryer syndrome it was my favorite book, I would read it at school and everywhere i could it was always in my purse or book bag. Over and over I read it.

Over my fifty years of life I often think what the world lost when we lost Bruce. We know we lost a loving father, a beloved husband and a warrior for the oppressed.

I always think of Bruce when I think there may be some kind of conflict and again I mimic but in my mind, I am a smaller woman but like Bruce I would never back down, he inspired me there is of course NO HONOR in being a coward.

It's been nearly 40 years since he passed away but I think of him often and fondly. We lost a great gift to the world when we lost the 135 pound Lethal weapon.

Thank You Shannon for sharing this wonderful tribute to your Daddy.

Thank You GLEE!

Thank You Glee,

For your tireless  efforts to change to how people think and feel, it's not just about the music, you have chosen some very hard topics to cover, last night's episode shined a spotlight on the bulling of a boy trying to figure out how to be himself.

Too many of our children have taken their own lives because of the constant victimization of our children by children and others whether gay or straight this abuse must at some point stop. Thank You  Trevor Project  http://www.thetrevorproject.org/

The Happiest Place on Earth?

Really?
Seriously?
Are you kidding me? This happened at Disneyland, you can't even go to the happiest place on earth without getting accosted by maroons, I understand, long lines, nasty and rude people, but this takes it to a new level of stupidity.

Come on now, at Disneyland, I swear I just don't know about people, they don't and never have sold alcohol at Disneyland, well, I guess I should quantify that, they only sell it at one place, a little restaurant in New Orleans Square called Club 33 and that is a private very expensive restaurant, the only place at Disneyland you can get your drunk on, pretty sure he didn't get drunk there, but I digress, again, seriously, don't know what kind of person would make such a ninny of himself, hurting someone like that and with all the midgies running around, just ridiculous!

CNN’s Don Lemon Grills FRC President Over Anti-Gay Extremism

There is no room in this world for people who don't think cause if you actually believe this drivel CNN’s Don Lemon Grills FRC President Over Anti-Gay Extremism.

For a good funny read, well not really, but you thinking humans know what I mean, you should read this Brochure of Hate

First of all the pedophilia has nothing at all to do with love and the real statistics are different than these people like to spew, the vast majority of pedophiles are STRAIGHT not GAY, so of curse because you don’t understand the lifestyle you attack it,  "Methinks totally thinks thou dost protest too much", insert cute little hand gesture here

Just as with the person who has a predilection of raping women is because it's about the power it gives them over the other person and their entire FAMILY.

And before you go thinking that I'm gay, I not I'm as straight as a board of wood, what I am is pissed, off that people who bash, bully, hurt and yes murder other people because of who or what they love is stupid, especially when a gay person gets lumped in with the actual sick mind of a rapist of children, these sick child molesting and raping people are perversion of nature, their minds are broken, it has nothing to do with being gay, straight or somewhere in between, it's about power not about love, this is the perversion not that someone is gay! And if you don't think there is a link between the actions of these people and gay bashing here's a tidbit for you Second gay beating suspect surrenders to Atlanta police  | ajc.com.

Hays County Dog Angel Put to Death for Killing Chickens

So here it is, last night after all the support of people like us, they took down their social media pages and then proceeded to kill the dogs anyway.

Family Dog to Be Euthanized for Killing Chickens

Family Dog to Be Euthanized for Killing Chickens This just absolutely sickens me, this animal according to Hays County should be killed for killing a couple of chickens, I understand that livestock also has the right to live, but livestock is NOT family!

Would you kill your grandma cause the made tea and burned the kids mouth? Yup here they might.

I get it but this goes too far. Maybe the family could maybe they even did, have offered to pay for the chickens and helped clean up, but I doubt it would have made any difference to the owner of these birds.

We have a cat, if I let him out of the house he would probably kill everything smaller than him, except kittens of course, he's terribly afraid of kittens, go figure, dude is huge weights like 22lbs and he's like 23 inches long minus the tail, but he's afraid of kittens.

So how bout we let this family pet live!!!!!!!!!

Boudicca

For those who don’t know who was, she was one of the bravest women in the history of the world, she is known as the mother of the Britons.

She lived and the events occurred in about 60 of the common era. These events caused a wife and mother to absolutely lose it.

Boudicca was the queen of the icini tribe of Celts, which inhabited an area of Southern Britain. These event were heinous, her husband in an effort to make it easier tribe to survive the roman occupation of THEIR land, they became supporters of the roman occupation. There was one thing he did not know at the time, the Celts absolutely believed in the rights of women, to not only have political power but an opinion as well. This is one of the things that differed so drastically in the ancient world, which was so foreign to any male dominated society, and they call us barbarians, ha!

When Boudicca’s husband Prasutagus suddenly and mysteriously died he left his kingdom to his two daughters and the roman emperor Nero, however he did not know that roman law did not allow royal inheritance to be pass to daughters and co-rulership of a kingdom with a woman was unacceptable based on the  Roman standard of succession.

The family of the king was enslaved, Boudicca was publicly flogged and her daughters were tortured and raped in the village square, they were about 12 and 13 years old at the time.

What they, the Romans did not count on is her people, the Icini, the Celts did however believed in the absolute right of a woman to succeed her king and lead, oops their mistake!

The reality of Roman rule propelled neighboring tribes, among them were the Trinovantes, to join Boudicca in her rebellion against Rome, her force of guerilla warriors was said to have been 100,000 strong, against Roman forces.

They began by storming, sacking and razing the Roman cities of Camulodunum and Colchester, then proceeding to the growing trade center of Londinium (modern day London), and ending in a final catastrophic battle.

The overconfidence of the Romans may have caused their negligence, again, never, ever underestimate a really pissed off red headed broad!

The Roman preconceived notions of the “barbarians” were completely ill advised, and the Romans were ill equipped to deal with small bands of warriors slipping quietly through the thick forests.

The Celts excelled in small-scale guerilla warfare while the slow-moving Roman units were at an obvious disadvantage in the forest. These raiding parties included men, women, and children, "tattooed" in the style of the Picts, the early inhabitants of Scotland, they were mostly naked and their bodies were painted with terrifying blue tats.

After changing their tactics they stopped underestimating a lowly woman and the Romans succeeded in crushing the rebellion, but not before losing a third of their men and the sacking of three of the major trade cities in Briton.

Never, ever, underestimate the anger of a an angry red headed woman.

Now we fight with the preverbal pen rather than with a sword, but the word cuts, slash's and hacks just as deeply and leaves just deep a wound as any sword.

"She was huge of frame, terrifying of aspect, and with a harsh voice. A great mass of bright red hair fell to her knees. She wore a great twisted golden necklace and a tunic of many colors, over which was a thick mantle, fastened by a brooch. Now she grasped a spear, to strike fear into all who watched her...…"

Bullied Unite!

So here it is, this is dedicated to any injustice, intimidation or just plain nastiness that entirely pervades the atmosphere of this world. At some point all of this must stop, when someone thinks they can hurt, pick on name call or act like a buffoon sometimes it doesn't actually work to you know just let it go, ya know some people just don't get it unless you actually STAND UP and let them it most certainly is not freakin OK! There will be most Definitely more to come!

From the very famous http://www.noh8campaign.com/photo-gallery/familiar-faces/photo/5700  and the very infamous http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Teena, to the everyday school yard bully, even if they’ve been out of school for 60 years.
